iPhone app doesn't calculate 7-day step average correctly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

7-day step average is calculating incorrectly as 9,063 on the iPhone app.  Based on my 7-day total of 70,786, the average should be 10,112.  It is showing correctly as 10,112 on the website dashboard -- this is evidence of the inconsistency.  I have screen captures/proof, but this blog page blocks me from uploading images.

I've read several other posts citing this same issue.  Please fix the iPhone app bug.  Thank you.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SunsetRunner.

I am sorry to hear your 7-day step average is calculating incorrectly in the iPhone app. Thank you for the details shared, I appreciate your efforts to provide screenshots and I am here to help. I recommend doing the following:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version. For instructions, see this help article.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  4. Reboot your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account.
  6. Manually sync your Fitbit and check your 7-day step average.

If the issue persists, you can follow these steps to attach a screenshot to your next reply.

Keep me posted on the outcome. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
