iPhone cannot find Charge 3

For almost a week now I have had to remove my device from both the fitbit app and my IPhone Bluetooth, find device, re-add my charge3.  It will update the app, and within ten minutes my phone or the app can not find my charge3.  my fitbit looses track of time.

I have removed the device from my phone and the app.  Then deleted the app.  Turned off my phone, reset my fitbit.  Turned on my phone, downloaded the app. signed in tried to add my charge3.  After mutipul codes and circled x on my fitbit, and my phone saying the code failed.  I left it for a while, then when I tried adding my device it worked and uploaded info to the app.   With in ten minutes my phone and the app can not find my fit bit, and my fitbit is now two minutes behind in the time.

Moderator edit: updated subject for clarity

I have been in the help forum trying all sorts of things people have said.  Change settings, remove & readd, Nothing is helping me......  Anyone having the same issue?

Hello again @prg044 and @crmarshall11
I think since your syncing issues persist in spite of troubleshooting steps I would review this link here to see if this helps in any way: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1866/?q=Syncing&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1

If your still experiencing syncing issues after reviewing the troubleshooting link I would suggest calling Fitbit Customer Service. You can find ways to contact them here: https://help.fitbit.com/?l=en_US&cu=1&fs=ContactUs&co=GB

my phone is an IPhone SE,  IOS 13.2.

Still having the same issues.  I now just put my Charge 3 Fitbit on the charger at night, and my phone, and they sync.  Dosen't help that my fitbit doesn't keep the right time starting from the time I unplug it.  It is what it is.  I now decline any challenge requests because I can't sync on time, and the next sync isn't promised.

Hello again @Pubby  Unfortunately until we get Bluetooth to recognize your Fitbit Tracker the time and syncing will continue to be an issue. Once it’s able to sync with Bluetooth the time issue will resolve. Let’s see if this works since so many other troubleshooting steps have not.
go to your iPhone settings>tap Fitbit >allow Fitbit to access Bluetooth>tap to enable (I’m thinking that maybe this got disabled some how)

keep me posted

Hello @crmarshall11  and @Pubby

I understand your both having issues with your Fitbit Trackers not being recognized by your Bluetooth. I see  you both may have tried other steps but let’s try troubleshooting with a fresh perspective and please try these troubleshooting steps even if you already have done so prior to posting. Before starting the troubleshooting steps make sure that both your Fitbit App as well as your iOS device is updated to the latest version.

1. First let’s try to turn your Bluetooth off then restart your phone (not shut down just a restart) Once your phone restarted and fully loaded now enabled your Bluetooth again. If you see your tracker listed now please sync with your Fitbit App. If your Fitbit Tracker is not listed under your Bluetooth after turning it off then back on again then proceed to restarting your Fitbit.
2. To restart your Fitbit Trackers. Please follow the instructions here to restart: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186

Now try to sync your Fitbit tracker with your Fitbit App.
3. If your still unable to sync please try the following steps:

log out of your Fitbit App

force shut your Fitbit app by swiping it up

Now shut down your iOS device completely and wait 1-2 mins then restart your iOS device

log back into your Fitbit app as you normally would with your email address and password

now try to sync your device

Hopefully this resolves your syncing issues. Keep me posted

Hello @prg044

Since your  tracker is still not syncing correctly, let's try setting up your tracker as a new device to reset the connection between the tracker and your phone. To set it up as a new device:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap on Profile picture on upper right corner then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  2. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  3. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

😃 please come back and let me know if this does the trick

Hello MegaBite,

I tried your steps, first didn't work, so then restarted the Fitbit tracker, still didn't work. after #3 and another #2 step I got it to connect. However - I will be very honest - I am wondering for how long......spending 20 minutes to try and sync is not acceptable.

I truly hope this corrects the issue, permanently but I am just not positive it will.

Hi MegaBite,

Sad to say it is not working again - ☹️

it didn’t work for me either tells me it found my tracker and then does nothing won’t connect or give me a code.... So now I don’t have any tracker connected to my app

@crmarshall11  Is it currently asking for a code or was it able to connect and sync?

Sadly this time no all it would do is say it located my tracker and stayed on that screen for an hour and never connected to the Fitbit...

Yesterday at one time it did ask me for a code showed me a code on my Fitbit but then the code wouldn’t work and my Fitbit had an X on it....

Today I tried your suggestions again and it won’t go past the connecting screen

Well that was really temporary.  Sync is not working I just spent 30 minutes trying to get the Bluetooth to connect so it would sync and nothing.

really sucks - I haven’t even had this Fitbit for a year yet.  If the bugs don’t get fixed what will be the point of wearing it.
