iphone app showing the wrong total of steps for a day

I've noticed this several times in the last couple of months. I make my 10k step goal and get a notification that I beat my goal. I look back the next day, and the total is below my goal. Further, if I click into the day's data, the total shown there is in fact above my goal. See the attached two pictures for the same day - one shows 9k total and the other screen shows the correct 12k total.

Hello @fxs, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board the Fitbit Community! Smiley Happy

This seems like a very odd situation, but it's possible the information is not updating correctly on the Fitbit app, in which case I would like to suggest the following:

  • Force-close the app by double tapping the home button and swiping up the app.
  • Log out from the app, restart your tracker and log back in.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome!
