I've been using a 0-ring to secure my Fitbit Force for the last two months. It works great. See attached photo. O-rings can be found in the plumbing department of hardware stores or home supply like Lowe's and Home Depot. You can buy a pack of 10 for $2 to $3. I've been wearing the one shown in the photo for two months and it has not broken and the wrist band has not come unfastened. O-rings come in different model numbers depending on the manufacturer. The key is to get the right size. I recommend the size that has worked well for me (9/16" inside diameter (ID) by 11/16" outside diameter (OD) by 1/16' thick).
