Ace 2 shows incorrect time

My daughters Fitbit ace 2 has randomly changed time - it’s not 12 hour format just random 6hrs and 18 mins different to the actual time. The device we use for the account is Showing correct time and we have not changed anything ourselves. Why does this happen and how can I change it back again?

Hi @Fleurcaputo. Welcome to the forums! I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks for letting me know about your daughter's Ace 2 as well for confirming that the phone she uses to sync with has the correct time. Let's work on this together! Before anything else, may I know if she's using her own phone to sync the Ace 2? Also, is her Ace 2 syncing correctly when going to kid view?

In the meantime, please make sure the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version and try the following steps:

On the phone used to sync her tracker:

  1. Please go to Settings > Date and Time. (may be labeled differently, depending on the operating system of the phone)
  2. Switch the automatic time to manual.
  3. Turn your phone off and on again.
  4. Try syncing your watch again.

Then on your computer:

  1. Please open Chrome or any internet browser (internet explorer, Firefox, etc)
  2. Go to fitbit.com dashboard and log in to your Fitbit account.
  3. Tap Settings at the upper right corner.
  4. Under Personal Settings > Time Zone, select any time zone.
  5. Save the changes.

Then please go back to the Fitbit app on your phone.

  1. Tap on your profile picture > Advanced settings.
  2. Turn off the "Automatic time zone" and "Automatic location" options. The selected time zone should appear, choose your location again.
  3. Turn your phone off and on again.
  4. Go to kid view and try syncing her Ace 2 one more time. The time should be displayed correctly.

Let me know how it goes.
