Hi. Me and my son are having a problem. So last night his Fitbit said he slept from 11:12pm - 9:12am, which is 10 hrs. But on the Fitbit app, it says he slept 9 hrs 17 min, which is the wrong calculation. Can someone plz help my son and I fix this? He's on an Ace 2.

Hi @SunsetRunner, thank you for your reply and a screenshot.

I appreciate your efforts and the additional details. Please note that we calculate time asleep by subtracting the time spent awake and restless from the overall tracked sleep time. In your case, if your son slept 10 hours, but woke up 3 times for total 43 minutes, the time asleep would be 9 hours and 17 minutes.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SunsetRunner.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that your son's sleep calculation is incorrect. Thank you for providing the additional details, I understand your concern and appreciate your efforts to resolve this. I recommend doing the following:

  1. Restart the tracker by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  2. Confirm if you son is sleeping with the device on his non-dominant hand.
  3. Confirm that your son has the Sleep Sensitivity setting set to Normal

I also recommend not to switch to kid view while your son is sleeping as the sleep tracking is interrupted. You can also edit sleep logs in the Fitbit app. For instructions, see How do I edit, or delete sleep logs in the Fitbit app?

For more information about tracking sleep, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

I appreciate your hard work for trying to help me, but none of those you told me to do worked. Also, I don't think you understood correctly about my problem, so I took a screenshot of that sleep time on the Fitbit app. Here it is:

So according to this post from a year ago "https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Time-Asleep-is-not-calculating-correctly/m-p/3803368#M116600" fitbit has reverted back to including sleep/restless times???
