Ace 2 won't set up

I bought a new fitbit ace 2, when we set it up the screen is stock in the logo screen and doesn't do anything, the account has been created and everything but it just doesn't show anything but the logo with the web address. I have tried the hard reset even deleted my sons account and set it up again but nothing. When I try to pair it tells me I need the app. I have 2 fitbits on my device already.
 
Any help would be great.My son is so disappointed.

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. I am sorry to hear about the disappointment this situation has caused. I recommend checking if your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update the Fitbit app? 

 

After that force close the Fitbit app, restart your phone and try to set up the tracker again: How do I set up Fitbit Ace devices?

Hi

It never dawned on me that my app needed updating. Once I did that I got my sons ace2 set up.
