Ace 3, google account setup

Hi All, trying to setup this Ace3 device and very quickly pulling my hair out.

I have an existing fitbit and app on android device with fitbit data already transfered to my google account, now our child is 10 we thought we'd get him an Ace3 to replace the cheap chinese step counter he had previously. I've added the fitbit app onto my childs device and when I choose to add Ace3 device the instructions are very contradictory, I think the biggest issue I'm getting is because he already has a google account but the app wants him to set up a whole new google account, I've seen screens that say I need a family link app as well, and a google family account, is there a real simple idiots instalation guide for these please.

@simmo2501   Fitbit also posted instructions in this Community Blog article.  I might be misreading your post, but it sounds like you are trying to set up the Ace on your child's device.  You create a Family on your device, then add your child to your family.  If you search for YouTube videos, look at the release date.  Older videos are pre-Google account requirement for new users (summer 2023, I think).
