Ace 3 screen not working

My son's Ace 3 screen is blank. Even when charged, it is blank. It will respond to a hard reset (show smiley face) but goes back to black straight after. It vibrates on touch, so it's still responsive. 

 

I was in the process of rebooting the Ace 3, and had deleted it from my phone profile, so it's not connected to a phone now. What should I do!?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @crgp3. I'm sorry to hear that your son's Ace 3 screen is too dim and thank you for letting us know about the troubleshooting steps you have followed. I'll be happy to assist. 

Please make sure that the device is not on do not disturb or sleep mode and confirm that you have followed these steps to restart the tracker:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  3. Press and hold the button or buttons on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
