My son got an ace 3 for Christmas and it won’t update nor will it let us change the clock face. When I press update and it just wheel spins for like 3 seconds and goes back the regular screen. The watch is at 43% and is at version 2.0001.98.17

To try to resolve the issue please do the following:
If you are still unable to update, please log in to your Fitbit account on a different mobile device, and retry the update.
Once the Tracker is updated, you should be able to change the clock face without any issues.

When I select the update tracker option even after following the steps you provided the error remains "unable to connect to fitbit.com." I also got this watch for my son at Christmas.
