Ace 3 won’t update

My son got an ace 3 for Christmas and it won’t update nor will it let us change the clock face. When I press update and it just wheel spins for like 3 seconds and goes back the regular screen. The watch is at 43% and is at version 2.0001.98.17

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your son's Fitbit Ace 3. Thank you for the information provided.

 

To try to resolve the issue please do the following:

  1. Turn your tracker off and on again using the instructions in this article.
  2. Restart your phone, and retry the update.

 

If you are still unable to update, please log in to your Fitbit account on a different mobile device, and retry the update.

 

Once the Tracker is updated, you should be able to change the clock face without any issues.

When I select the update tracker option even after following the steps you provided the error remains "unable to connect to fitbit.com." I also got this watch for my son at Christmas.
