Hi @Cotter12,
As far as I know, you can't change the background on your Fitbit. However you can change the clock face. Please turn your Bluetooth on before you start this process.
1.) Make sure your Fitbit app is up to date (this can be verified in your App Store)
2.) Go to your "Account Tab " and then select your tracker,
3.) You are now in your Tracker Settings. Tap the tile that says "Clock Faces" and you will be taken to the Clock Face Gallery.
4.) Select "All Clock Faces" and find one you like. Select it, and then select "Download"

I have followed the steps, but after selecting the clock face in the app, I am not prompted to "download'... I just get a neverending spinning wheel. I have successfully changed my son's clock face , but not my daughter's. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have the same issue with my sons. Keep getting the never ending spinning. Also does not 'celebrate' when he reaches his 10,000 steps goal. Was a birthday present so if it isnt going to work property, I'd rather return it and get him something else.

No answer here but we are getting exactly the same thing. Spinning wheel, can’t load up the face. We’ve rebooted the watch, logged out and in to the app after switching off and on. All no use. Would appreciate some help!

Was reading in another similar thread that the watch face switcheroo works very easily from an iphone. Downloaded the fitbit app on my phone and attempted to change the face - oh, but first I need to pair the watch with my phone...
I've paired my daughter's watch with a Samsung tablet that she has regular access to, but now I need to unpair it from there, pair it with my phone, change her watch face, unpair the watch from my phone, and pair it back to the tablet?? Why can my son's Ace 2 watch face be changed from a Samsung tablet but not my daughter's? My kids love their watches, but these seem like hoops that I shouldn't have to jump through just to accomplish basic functionality.

Exactly the same issue here with 2 brand new Fitbit Ace 2s for my 2 sons... have synced both to my phone but when I try to select a clock fave I get the never ending wheel of doom... on both watches!! Please reply as if this is a fault I will return both watches.

I've had a fitbit for several years now with no issues but I am very disappointed with the Ace that I have got for my son's birthday. I will be returning as not fit for purpose and trying another brand

Yes, you do have an Account tab, @-kdpekdodk-. It's the icon in the upper left hand side of the app when you log in from any mobile device. After that, please follow the steps above again, as there's no other way to access the clock faces.

Have you cleared the cache on your phone?

Do you have both your son's and your daughter's watches paired to your account? If that is the case, only one Ace can be paired with one parent account.
