Can't set up Ace 3

I brought an Ace 3 minions Fitbit for my daughter for Christmas. She’s has had Fitbit’s previously under a kids account. She is now 13 but has Down Syndrome so we still manage her account although no longer seen as a kid in Fitbit. Her Fitbit stopped syncing so I had to try and sync again but I can no longer set up her account as it wants a kids account. What are my options???
