Does Ace track exercise?

My Son has now had his Ace for a few days. And he loves it!

But, the exercise tracker doesn't appear to work automatically, like with an adult Fitbit

Should it work? Or is it the case that you have to manually input exercises?

I can't add walks without it adding steps. In a similar way a run takes them away.

Hello everybody, thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community.

The Fitbit Ace series track sleep, all-day steps and Active Minutes. There is no option to track activities with these devices. If necessary, you can manually log them in the Fitbit app.

Our team is constantly working to improve our products and services but at the moment there are no plans to add SmartTrack to Fitbit Ace series as explained in this feature suggestion. If there is any update about this topic, it should be communicated as soon as possible.
