Family Already Exists?

I currently have an Alta and my son got the Ace 2 for Christmas. When logging on and going to devices - I click on the Create Family Account. After clicking this, I hit the Create Family button then it thinks for a little bit and says Family already exists? There is no where I can see to access the Family account to set my sons Ace 2 up. I ended up just putting it under my account on Christmas Day as he wanted to use it and I wasn't sure how else to do it. 

I know have more time to figure it out and still cant - have read forums and gone through the steps fit bit has provided. I have used both my phone app and logged in on the computer. It is not very user friendly at all and I am getting frustrated!
