I go onto the app and tap on the profile and I cant seem to find 'create family account' anywhere

Thanks for the details shared in your post. I recommend doing the following:
If the issue persists, please uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app. For more information about creating a Family Account, see How do I set up Ace for my child?
Additionally, I recommend checking if your Fitbit device is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update my Fitbit device?
