Family setup not working

So i'm trying to setup an Ace 3 and have installed FitBit on my iphone with my account after setting up my daughter on the FitBit app on her Samsung. It's got her as a guardian and i can't see anyway i can change her status to Child. And on my phone i am a guardian. 

When I click on Family to set up an account, it won't let me do anything. Tells me to log in with my childs account and when i do, it says the same thing (probably because we are both guardians).

Incredibly frustrated with this device already. The setup just doesn't seem logical to me. Where have I gone wrong?
