Feedback about Family Accounts usage

Hello,

Still going through past posts in the forum for insights.  Apology if this is duplicate and has already been covered elsewhere.

Yesterday picked up couple of fitbit devices from Best Buy,

a) Charge 3 - dad   <<--------- me

b) Charge 3 - mom

c) Ace 2 - kid (daughter)

d) Ace 2 - kid (son)

Kids are 5 years old.  No phones.

Goal is for "both" mom and dad to track kids progress on each phones.

How best to go about this?

Currently setup is:

1) Dad (me) ("main" guardian of this family) - setup My Family, created Child account for daughter, add daughter's Ace 2 tracker

2) Mom (tried to add her as guardian from my friend's list, and error message shows up in the app's bottom saying "An error has occurred. Please try again.") - setup her own My Family, created Child account for son, add son's Ace 2 tracker

Dad has both son and mom as friends in his app.

Mom has both daughter and dad as friends in her app.

Very confusing (setup).

Will above setup, though, allow both mom and dad (as going in and out of KID VIEW) to monitor daughter and son progress from their tracker?

Is there better way to set up My Family?

I'm assuming a given phone (dad or mom) can only have 2 devices max, i.e. Charge 3 and Ace 2.

Can Dad's My Family setup to add both son and daughter's Ace 2 trackers?

Since each kids account have their own unique username, each kids account can only be added from either mom or dad, but not both.

Any help to get this family working as intended by fitbit, would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Left this out.  Thank Francis!

Awesome news @dinan5m3  and it's fantastic to see a family doing this together. Update us and let us know how the family is doing. This is exactly the reason for the family account.

@Odyssey13 Thanks.

Except ...

... taks 7 days to delete my mistake of creating My Family on both mom (where delete took place) and dad (me) phones.

... 7 days, and i'm told by fitbit support that my wife (mom) cannot use her fitbit app on her phone because she cannot login on her phone fitbit app for 7 days.

7 days...

Good to know for others in the future @dinan5m3

Sorry it happened to you, but am glad that after those seven days, you'll be sorted out.
