Firbit Ace vs. Ace 2

Hello everyone! My son is 8 going on 21.  I am going to purchase one of the Ace watches for him for Christmas.  I really think he would like the original Ace better, but I am wondering if it has been discontinued.  It is still available online but I notice a lot of stores don't have it and only have the Ace 2.  Even the Fitbit website does not have it.  I just don't think my son would want the Ace 2 because it looks like a little kid.  Does anyone have any insight? I hate to purchase the Ace if support for it is ending.  Thanks!

The original Ace has been discontinued, I think as soon as the Ace 2 came out.  It still might be available some places, but make sure they are authorized sellers to get warranty.

As for support, as long as it is under warranty, Fitbit will honor that.
