Fitbit Ace 2 won’t sync or reset

My sons ace2 last synced on 27th Dec but now it won’t sync. Turned out it might have been not connected to Bluetooth but it won’t pair to his android tablet either. I tried resetting the ace2 but nothing happens! Any other ideas without deleting everything and all the data? Thanks
