Fitbit Ace feedback

The Fitbit Ace is marketed for kids 8+ with one of the selling features that children will be on their parent's account rather than having their own account.  This marketing is deceptive.  At age 13 Fitbit dictates that children must get their own account, which reduces the usefulness of the Ace.  A child should have the option to get a separate account at age 13, but should not be forced off the parent's account.

Failing that, your marketing needs to reflect that the Ace is only useful as a child's tracker with parental oversight for ages 8-12 rather than the current marketing of 8+.  I personally feel swindled by the dishonest packaging and marketing for this tracker.

@jenmousie Welcome to our Fitbit Community! By the way, I'm sorry for the late response! Regarding your concern, The Ace was design in order to have your children data private and supervised by their parents. With this being said, even though your child needs to create a regular Fitbit account when turns 13, you can still add your child as a family member to your Family account.

Please check out this help article for more information about how to add a family member.
