Hi, I'm just wondering if it's possible to send a message from my iPhone, DIRECTLY to my child's fitbit Ace?

Thanks

Nicole

@NicoleWebb Welcome to our Fitbit Community! Regarding your question, you can only send messages to your child as long as your child has the Ace set up through their mobile device. If your child's Ace is set up on your own mobile device, I'm afraid that messages can't be sent to their Fitbit Ace.

This is such a bummer as the capability to message my daughter is listed as a feature. It does not say that they need their own phone/iPad etc to receive the message. Why would I message my daughter on her Fitbit if I can just text her on the phone! This is fraud! I would like my money back!

What a joke, bought 3 of them! This is the most stupid thing I heard in a very very long long time.

Message function to a device and read the message on a smartphone.  Why would you do that and not send it immediatly to the smartphone then?

Best Answer

I agree. It says they can read notifications and messages. I assumed it was on the Fitbit not on a separate phone that has nothing to do with what I bought. I bought 2 today.😖

Totally agree!! My son is 8, I'm not getting him a phone,  but love the option to track his sleep and activity levels. Horrible and pointless feature!!

How do I turn off messaging? My sons device is linked to my phone bc that’s where I installed the app so now he’s getting all my text messages. Is there a way to set it so he receives them from me only or if not to just completely cancel texts?
