My son has turned 13 and so we want to upgrade his account so that he can add a Charge 6. We have upgraded his Google account and removed supervision (which we will add back later). All of my research says that an upgrade button should appear on his Fitbit app but nothing is there. We have logged out, uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it, turned the phone off and back on etc but no upgrade is appearing. If I log on to his profile from my account it says that he has to log onto his app to upgrade. He has no devices linked to his account. I have removed him from family link to see if that helped but nothing is working. No upgrade option is appearing.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Kimbyk. I'll be happy to assist with your upgrading a child account query.
Since you sign in with a Google Account
Your child must take control of their Google Account, then upgrade in the Fitbit app. Have your child complete these steps:

He has taken control of his Google account but when he logs into Fitbit there is no option to upgrade.

Thanks for getting back to us and for the clarification @Kimbyk.
You son should receive an email in order to upgrade his account.

Thanks for getting back to us and for your question @Kimbyk.
Yes, An email from Fitbit with subject: "Ready to take charge of your Google Account?", as I mentioned on my previous post.

He has already done that and taken charge of his Google account as I mentioned in my post. The problem we now have is that on his Fitbit app there is no option to upgrade. If we click on 'your data in Fitbit' there is a message that says 'move on up. Open up the Fitbit app to complete your in-app graduation, which moves you to Fitbit for teens or adults'. However, we go back to the general app and there is no upgrade option.
