Alta HR Auto Syncing

Hello!  I've had my Alta HR for about a year and a half. I prefer syncing manually by opening the app on my android phone, so I had auto sync turned off. However for the past few weeks my fitbit has been auto syncing on its own and the option to turn this off appears to have disappeared. Help please!

If you are using the Android app then, as you say, the All Day Sync option has been removed by Fitbit. It is set to On and we can no longer turn it off. This is covered in one of their updated help files at:

https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1877#alldaysync

The key message in there is:

"To improve your experience with notifications, syncing, and firmware updates, we removed the option to turn off all-day sync from the Fitbit app on Android phones. When your phone is near your Fitbit device with Bluetooth turned on, it periodically syncs with the Fitbit app to update your stats and download available firmware updates. More frequent syncing rarely, if ever, noticeably decreases your device’s battery life."
