Alta HR (& Charge 2) : stuck at inputing 4 digit code

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Alta HR stopped connecting with my Android phone on August 17th. (No data on steps etc being recorded in the App). I have gone through all the obvious forum recommendations around re-setting, removing, re-installing, bluetooth on and off etc.

As I try to set up new device, my phone and Alta device recognize each other, I am given the 4-digit code on the Alta, but after inputing in the App on the phone, I get an error message. Done it many times. Even tried using my wife's Charge HR, same problem.

I noticed in the Android Play store that the last App update was also on August 17th, which may be nothing, but kind of suspicious. I have used the Alta without problem for several years up to this point. Finally, the Alta is still counting steps, still charges up, still has the correct date etc.

Hi @joshuaJEGS

Please try setting it up away from other Bluetooth devices.
Another option is to restart your phone prior to attempting to set up the Fitbit. (Often times it’s the phone causing it )

 hope this helps
