I finally got my Pixel 3a (Android 11) to pair with my Alta HR tracker (was working fine together until mid-Dec then nothing until today). After researching everyone's suggestion I went with pairing the tracker to my laptop then trying on phone app.
Downloaded Mac Fitbit app to laptop, tried to pair and it stated it failed. Yet, when I went into my profile it was there and linked. I shut off computer, downloaded newest version of fitbit app (1/28/21) to phone, restarted both the phone and tracker. I logged into the fitbit app on the phone and to my literal amazement, the tracker was automatically linked to phone app. I was like, What the What! Fingers crossed it stays and so far so good, all linked up and working.

Sadly I got too excited and it still won't sync properly. I'm done, moving on.

Thanks for getting back, @Altrahr.
If your tracker isn't syncing, I recommend taking a look at the help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and follow the instructions provided there.
Let me know the outcome.
