Recently it seems like no matter how long I charged my Alta HR, it never fully charged, and I was having to charge it more frequently. Then the other night I thought it was charging (it buzzed and the charging icon showed), but it must have stopped shortly after that because I got an alert the next morning that it needed to be charged. I've tried different charging blocks, plugged it into my laptop, and tried to reset it but nothing and now it's dead. Should I buy another charging cable to does it sound like the actual Fitbit has bit the dust? I've had it 3 years, bought it in 2019 on Amazon Prime Day. And if it has died for good, recommendations of what to replace it with? Amazon currently has several models on sale for early Prime Day (Inspire 2, Luxe, Charge 4, Charge 5, Versa 2). Which is the most reliable/long lasting? We've had two original Inspire's where the bands broke within the first year.

@ang79 you could try restarting it three or four times. Sometimes that works. Three years is a pretty good run for an Alta HR though. Mine always used to last one week between charges. Then it was 5 days and then 4 days. I knew the battery was getting ready to die. I saw the Inspire 2 for sale on Amazon and I had a gift card that covered almost the entire sale price. It seemed meant to be, so I bought it. The Luxe wasn't around then or I might have gone for that instead.
There are so many options and we all have our own preferences. Here's a quiz to help you decide which Fitbit is right for you, if you do decide it's time for something new.

Had same issue today! Charged it whole day n still blank!Followed the instructions on a video on utube on how to charge my Fitbit Alta- luckily it worked! You have to press 3/4 times on the Charger cable ( with a slight pause in between)
