Alta HR won't hold charge at all

My Alta HR is 2 years old and of late, it just won't hold charge for even 2 hours after a full charge. It shows a drained battery all the time and shuts down. No amount of resetting and restarting seems to work. Did anyone have success with replacing the battery or getting it to work again?

The funny thing is that, the 25% discount applies only to select products..
So, if you want to buy the Charge 4 you will not find it.. and also the
models available are these non-standard colors, which is not always your
first choice.

I am also reviewing other options, but frankly for the price either you can
go all the way down to a Mi Band or look at something comprehensive as the
Garmin.

I am actually leaning on going with the Charge 3 (with the 25% discount)

Yes same situation here. My Fitbit has been charging for 3 days and it only goes to 25% charge, no more. It won't do a full charge anymore. It's about two years old as well. Alta HR. It had been at zero charge for a while recently while I wasn't walking much during the most lockdown part of the pandemic. I imagine the battery has been affected. Sucks.

This is so weird - mine went from holding a charge for 5-6 days to not at all just this week. I let is get a full charge, it says it's charged and then I get notification not even an hour later that the battery needs to be charged. Not even a decline where I needed to charge it every 4 days, then 2 days. It was like there's a kill switch in it to die after so much time. It's infuriating to be honest. My brother and cousin both had this issue too, so this will be my last fit bit.

Hi, I cleaned my Fitbit’s charging connecting areas with rubbing alcohol per the self-help instructions and after that it charged just fine! To 100 percent. I’m still on that first charge so I don’t know if it fixes the problem permanently. But they say it clean it with running alcohol to improve the connection and I think it worked.

I got the alta hr as well about 2 years ago now, and for the past 2-3 weeks it's only been lasting 12 to 18 hours on a full charge. Before that date, it was got about 5 days. No changes by me were made in any of the settings. Now I'm wondering if I let the battery fully die, will it never turn on again?

I did read in another forum post on fitbit that there was a setting for all day sync or continuous synching which just disappeared about the same time these issues popped up, and fitbit changed their documentation on their website to remove any references to these settings.....  This makes me think that they were changing some stuff in the app, and weren't paying close enough attention to all the devices, and how their changes could impact a device with such a small battery. If it's anything like the Samsung fit, it has maybe a 100ma battery only....
