I got my Alta today and I've had it plugged in and charging for over 2 hours now and it won't turn on. If I tap the screen nothing happens, I've tried restarting it too. Any suggestions?

Plug your Fitbit in and press and hold the button on your charger until the screen on your Fitbit flashes with the Fitbit symbol or says welcome; depending on your device. If that doesn't work call 1-877-623-4997 and they'll troubleshoot it or replace it. Hope this helps!

To everyone having a hard time setting up your Alta! There is a small button on the USB part of your charging cord. Push this button 3 times consecutively and then wait a moment. This worked for me after fighting with this thing for 3 days! Hope this helps everyone!
Have the same problem...
I've done this... Several times in fact... It still won't power on.

Thanks for that tip! I just kept pressing the button repeatedly in frustration and the magic 4 digit number finally appeared on the screen... At long last.

My fit bit will not turn on.
Alto 101
It is charged from plugging into my computer. I set up the App and when I tap it only the little lite circle comes up and nothing else. I do not have the three little lights on the side of the screen

Hi, @3000000, I am not sure what you mean by the little light circle or the 3 little lights on the side, but you should be aware that your Alta cannot be charged from your computer unless your computer is awake and active. A computer that has gone to "sleep" will not deliver charge -- so the problem may be that your Alta is not actually charged more than a few minutes.
You will need to plug it in to a computer that is AWAKE and ACTIVE for about two hours. Alternatively you can plug it in to a mains electricity charger (such as a cell phone) that will take a USB connection. Please only use a UL/ CE certified charger (the charger supplied with your phone should be fine, but a replacement charger bought on the internet from China could damage your Fitbit).
I hope this helps! Welcome to the forums.
