Alta battery issues

My alta won't charge to 100% and will only hold the charge for a very short time.  I have cleaned the contacts on both the watch and the charger and the app is up to date.  Suggestions??

Hi @SueHW  you try restarting your device a few times? It's the first thing to do when there is a problem. You can also check with customer support and they can generally tell you more on their end if the device is charging fully. Also, the Alta HR is older and may have reached the end of life. I have an Alta HR, too.

Hello @SueHW Welcome to the Community Forums! Thank you for following some troubleshooting steps prior to posting.

@Odyssey13 Thanks for the input! @SueHW for battery not charging, I would like to confirm if you covered all of the steps suggested in our help article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

If your device is able to charge but the battery life is still draining quickly, I recommend taking into consideration the following tips to maximize its battery life: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Let me know how it goes.

I have tried many / most of the suggestions and nothing has helped.
Unfortunately my Fitbit has been put on the shelf and I have moved on to
another device.
