Alta frozen

My Alta HR went completely black, no green lights or anything.  I read some on the forum and cleaned the prongs with alcohol, this did enable the charging cable to connect.  I then did a restart- now it just keeps rapidly cycling through all of the functions.  Green lights on back are dim and flashing

It seems like there's something wrong with the device.  How long have you had it?

Sounds like my same problem. What’s the expected lifespan of an Alta?

Mine just did the same thing today.  It was working fine this morning then all of sudden the screen went black and would not respond.  I tried cleaning the contacts and it still will do anything!  Black screen, no green lights.  When I plug it in it doesn't respond.  Frustrating

I just googled it and it says 1-2 years.  Very frustrating.   It’s too expensive to only last 1 1/2 years.  Guess I won’t be using Fitbit anymore

Mine is 2 1/2 years old, guess I was lucky!  Frustrating!

My fitbit also went black and I cleaned it and nothing has changed.... dead......
