My old Alta stopped charging so I ordered a new one and it came today. I replaced my old one through the app on my ipad and the new Alta now shows my steps from earlier today but won't sync anymore. I tried replacing it again through the app and it says "We found your tracker!" but it still says "Connecting..." and is stuck there. On my ipad, the Fitbit app said there is a firmware update but when I click on update, it searches and searches and never finds it. Finally it just says there was a Firmware error and I should try again. I've tried several times with the same result.

Hi @jkjtbrandt - Who sold that device to you? It might be a good idea to return that Alta to the seller. Sounds like it may be defective.
