Fitbit just stopped working and would not restart until it put on charger 

battery was 1/2 full and time said 06.20 when the proper time was 08.20 

Time did go to right time after a few minutes 

and when I do get to run in line with app I get a message to do it

Thanks for the troubleshooting performed before reaching out. Please check if you followed the steps in this link, to perform the restart, How do I restart my Fitbit device?. If not, please follow them. Then open your Fitbit app and tap on your profile picture, you should see the list of Fitbit devices paired to your account. If you cannot see your Alta there, please set it up again. For more information to set up your device check this link How do I set up my Fitbit device?
