I purchased an Alta in November 2018 and is would not hold a charge AT ALL. I had it replaced within a few months of having it, at not cost. The replacement then had the same issue where it will show that it is fully charged, then will die within the same day without any warning that is has low battery. When I plug it back in to charge it says that it has almost a full charge.
When I spoke with fitbit they will not replace the device because the warranty is up. They would prefer me to spend additional money to purchase a new one and the best they can offer is 25% discount on a new model. It is very disappointing that fitbit will not stand by the quality of their product. Looking through this forum it seems that this has been an extremely common issue with this product. I have never had a fully functioning product with fitbit and I paid $150 originally. It is very difficult for me to justify spending any additional money for a new fitbit when I never received the value form the original purchase. Very disappointed.

I’m honestly so tired of my Fitbit. I’m not really sure what has happened in the last couple years. It dies at the most inconvenient times. At work when I need a watch. In the middle of a workout...... it will vibrate when I’ve hit my goal (if it’s still alive) but the vibration drains the battery and it no longer tracks my steps. My app says I have 90% battery, my Fitbit says I have like 50% and it dies. I’m not getting a replacement this time.
