Connection difficulties with Samsung Galaxy A70

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought a Samsung a70 in July.. expecting fitbit to be able to work with easy technology. Instead was told fitbit hasn't done an update for the a70.. was told sorry, maybe get a different device.. which, you know was why I upgraded in the first place...

Why can't there be an a70 update??? Cannot connect and honestly, a waste of my money now on fitbit..

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @Sezzy251

I understand you’re frustrated and it’s understandable. It is indeed true that the Samsung A70 is currently not compatible with the Fitbit App. You can view the compatibility list here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315

Do understand that the Fitbit Team are continually adding more devices to the compatibility list. I can’t offer any timetable if or when your particular device will be added to the list. I wish I had a better answer to provide you but this is all the information I’m aware of.

Hi @Sezzy251, welcome to the Community Forums!

Let me share with you that we are constantly working and testing different mobile devices to make sure that they work as intended with our products and services just as our friend @SunsetRunner stated. As it turns out, at this moment I'm unable to let you know when or if the Samsung Galaxy A70 will be added to our list of compatible devices, however, my best advise for you will be to constantly check our list of compatible devices for any update.

If you're experiencing difficulties connecting your Alta HR with your mobile device, I recommend you to check all the information that's specified on: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to check if all the requirements are correctly configured to setup your device. Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Hi, well unfortunately I already contacted fitbit back in July and they
gave me the same response.. so can't be testing or trialling a70s! I've
tried and spent a lot of time trying to manually connect my fitbit but to
no avail..
At this point, my fitbit is just a pretty watch.
I've lost many, many recorded cals, steps and general health information
but thank you all the same.. 🙂

At this point honestly I'm considering going to a different company..  fitbit seems to pride themselves on their tech..  but the a70 isn't even all that updated. Yes I should've checked compatibility but.. hey. What's a 600 dollar phone even worth..
