How can I factory reset my alta?

Hello,

 

 

I am getting very frustrated. I updated to the IOS 10 and I am unable to sink my fitbit alta. He has been like this for about three days. It is very frustrating. Can someone help me figure out how to reset it a different way. My iphone saids it cannot find it at all either with the bluetooth capability. Thank you

Welcome to the Forums @DataHawk and @ammitch89Robot LOL Have you been able to sync your devices?  Currently there's a syncing issue that our team is working on and it should get fixed with the next firmware update. You can find more information  on this post.

 

In the meantime you can  check these syncing troubleshoot tips.

hi i was wondering how to resync my fitbit alta i cant figure it out and since it went dead my clock time is wrong and ive looked but cant figure out how to make it right

Hi press the the button 3 times thats on usb end if cable it should buz then fitbit logo comes up. That should restart it x

In order to check it, go to your account and see if a tracker appears on it:

If your tracker doesn't appear on your account, follow the instructions from this post in order to set up your device.

To reset press the button on the usb end of the charger and holding the button in the following intervals 2sec, 2sec, 4sec. 

Actually count 1-Mississippi, 2-Mississippi.

hello, I am having the same issue with my Alta. its like my app forgot my alta, and everytime i try to reinstall my alta it gets stuck on the connection process. the four digit numbers appear on my alta, i put them into the app and it sits there trying to connect. i have done this 5 times even tried resetting my alta. turning on and off the phone is the only way you exit that screen on the app. i have also deleted and reinstalled the app 4 times. HELP!

Currently, there's no factory reset for the Fitbit Alta @OneAngelle.

I did what this thing said to do and it killed my Fitbit. When I plugged in my Fitbit it was over half charged then I pressed the button three times and the battery died.

@Kendal_H_729, welcome to the Fitbit family! Heart When you restart your device, sometimes the battery drains really quick. Were you able to charge your Alta again? Is your Alta working?

Yes it is working now after I had to charge it.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I found that a Factory Reset can't be done
on the Alta just a regular reset. So if I'm having problems I will see if
doing a reset would help.

@OneAngelle, try to restart your Alta if you're experiencing issues with it and if it doesn't work after restarting it, I would recommend to Contact Support.
