Fitbit Alta keeps turning off

I have had my fitbit for maybe a year now it worked great at the start but later it started turning off by itself to turn it on again I need to put it in the charger but as soon as I remove it it goes black again I have tried restarting it from the button on the charger but no luck please tell me there is  a fix for this

Hi @Skairipa Unfortunately if restarting your Alta doesn't fix the problem there is really nothing else you can do. However, I would try letting you battery run completely flat for a few hours and then fully charge it again, do a couple more restarts and see if that helps. If it doesn't help then unfortunately it has died. The Alta is quite an old tracker now and was discontinued quite a few years ago, so you may need to buy a newer model.

same thing has happened to mine. Works on the charger. Stops as soon as i take it off. Im so annoyed. I loved my alta. Paid a little extra to get the gold one. I understand it may be an old model now but none of the new ones look as nice as this one.  Plus all the new fitbits have heart monitors on. I dont want a heart monitor. I suffer with anxiety and seeing when my heart rate is high or low will probably send me into a panic attack.
