I don't know how to explain this easily, but I'll give it a try... I walked 15031 steps yesterday. They logged fine. I just went for an hour-long walk/jog. I started just after midnight (I work from home and am a bit of an insomniac so I keep strange hours) so I know I started with low/no steps. During a session like this I would normally log 9K-9.5K, but I checked my AltaHR after, and I had 24316. The mileage also rolled over into the new day, putting me over 10mi, instead of around 4mi. Calories burned and active minutes seem accurate as to what I would expect. Clicking the exercise tile and looking at the impact on my day gives me the correct stats, except it says xxxx of 24316 steps taken.
Any ideas on what's going on, and how I can fix it? This is the first time it's ever done any thing like this.

Hi,
So if you find this topic later because it happened to you, here's the solution as per Fitbit tech support:
1: Plug the charging cable into a USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
2: Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display. Your tracker will begin charging.
3: Press the button on your charging cable 3 times within a few seconds, briefly pausing between presses. The button is on the end of the charging cable that is plugged into your computer. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, this means the tracker has restarted. (You might not see the logo -- I didn't but according to tech support they could tell it DID reset.)
4: Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.
Unfortunately, now you have to wait til midnight to see if it worked and your tracker resets to zero. If it doesn't contact tech support. This won't fix your total for the day with the extra steps (you'll still have a really high step/mileage total for that day), but it should correct you going forward. Good luck!
