Fitbit alta hr not working

 My fitbit alta was gifted to me December 2020 for my birthday and now I wake up this morning and it's blank. The greenlights are on. I called customer support followed her steps still nothing. It was flashing between the time, heart rate, date and step and then back to the battery icon. She didn't want to tell me about my options over the phone, instead she sent me an EMAIL saying it's out of warranty and a 35% discount to purchase a new one. Based on the amount of comments about this device and it's issues, they obviously know that there is something wrong but they don't want to fix it

So ridiculous.

Sorry to hear of the problem with your Alta HR, @04lia . The Fitbit Alta HR was released quite a few years ago. It quickly became my favorite Fitbit device and lasted a long time with no issues.  Who gifted it to you?  If it was new from a store, I’d suggest returning it there. But if you received it from someone who was no longer using it, then I’m sorry to say it is probably several years old by now and not fixable. You may want to use that 35% discount. My current favorite is the Versa 3. But I find the Luxe to be very tempting, mainly because it is similar in size to the Alta HR and I’ve always liked that. 

 

On a side note, did Support suggest restarting your device? Sometimes that works. Instructions are here
