Why is the download to install Fitbit not the same if you have a new watch now? I know a person that had their watch replaced after the update last year. They do not have that version but do have the previous version. I need to change what the watch monitors and can not access or get the watch to sync. Can I use this other persons Fitbit.com and login with my account? Or how can I get the version before the update?

Hi @SunsetRunner, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums! Sorry for the delayed reply.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Unfortunately, I didn't quite understand your post or the issue you're currently experiencing, are you experiencing syncing difficulties with your Alta HR? Let me share with you that the Fitbit app version is always updating, you can receive the latest version depending on the mobile device operating system version you have, in other words, if you can update the operating system of your phone to the latest one, you'll receive the latest Fitbit app too.
Can you please let me know what do you mean with login from other persons Fitbit.com and login in your account? Fitbit.com is a website that you can use to check your stats in your account and sync your Fitbit device using a computer. To learn more about this, please check:About the fitbit.com dashboard
Looking forward to your reply, please provide as many details you can so we can move forward.
