I used to track my average sleep time in order to focus on getting more sleep. This has changed to show sleep score which I don’t find useful - does anyone know how I can change this back?

we are not saying we cant see sleep stages(though how long will it be before you change that?) .We are saying we dont get weekly sleep averages which we want , our weekly sleep averages have been removed going back and our apps are cluttered up with meaningless sleep scores which can be the same if you got 4 hpurs sleep or 7 hpurs sleep. No-one asked for it and we don't like or want the sleep scores.

Why is this marked as "Solved" - I just updated the app and now instead of average sleep I see this sleep score which is useless and feels rather judgemental, not helpful. I don't see a "Solution" just a bunch of frustrated customers.

I did not buy Fitbit premium. How do you tell if you were signed up for that?

Me too. I did not purchase premium yet now I have lost the "star" when I reach my goal of time. I want the option to see both -- but if only one, then I want sleep time and not sleep score.

Did you ASK or SURVEY anyone if they WANTED a sleep score?
Nobody asked me. The score is maybe a side thing -- but return the option to go back to sleep time -- and a star when I reach my goal.
Back product placement. Like Coca-Cola New or whatever they called that disaster. Be smart enough to go back to sleep time and stars.

The sleep score isn’t helpful. It is actually demotivating since it doesn’t seem to reflect how my body feels after sleep at all. How can sleep progress be measured with this arbitrary measure. I can control and improve the times I sleep but not this score.
Please allow us to turn it off.

It's great to see you around @Nancy81. Your sleep score helps you understand your sleep each night so you can see trends in your sleep patterns. Studies show getting enough high-quality sleep can positively affect your energy, activity, mood, weight, and more (source).
Your overall nightly sleep score is based on your heart rate, the time you spend awake or restless, and your sleep stages.
As a side note, you can vote for this idea: Make sleep score optional. It's already under consideration and the status will change based in Fitbit's plans.
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Totally agree with most of the comments. Please, please get rid of sleep score and give us back the average sleep. The sleep score tells us nothing useful. Having looked through lots of these threads and the suggestion threads I don’t seem to have seen anyone in favour of the sleep scores. Are you listening Fitbit?

I deal with pain issues and there are nights when I am awake and/or restless for a good part of the night. Some nights, I sleep like a log. My sleep scores have been between 79 and 83 for the last month. Please tell me how this is helpful or anywhere near an accurate indication of how well I slept?

The main purpose for purchasing my Fitbit was to track sleep. I was extremely pleased with my ability to do that. Like so many others, I find the new sleep score off putting and the opposite of helpful. If we can not return to an objective relating of hours and minutes instead of the subjective sleep score I will discard this device and move to another brand completely. You’ve had hundreds of comments over the course of nearly a month and have not responded positively to your customers. Bad form, Fitbit. And I have voted on feature discussion board, etc.

Well said and I completely agree. Many of us have stated the same with regard to Fitbit choosing to not listen to their users. Why wouldn’t they want to keep their users happy? Revenue? Are they involved in selling Fitbit ? Mine stays off for now and I will be purchasing a tracker that doesn’t have a sleep score.

My thought is they are not listening to people for revenue. I bet the average will appear in a few months in the "premium" pay-only feature. I think they know it's terrible and they want users to have an incentive to pay for "premium." Really, people are just going to switch brands. The price of the devices are enough that they should work with the app for free.

Hey everyone! Sorry for the delayed reply.
Your comments and feedback are appreciated, these helps us to improve our services and Fitbit devices. Fitbit is listening to its customers, that's why we have our Feature Suggestion Board and the idea Make sleep score optional is already under consideration, I don't have a timeframe about when this will implemented but as soon as it has, the status of the idea will change.
Thanks for sharing how you're managing the sleep score @Simonetti.
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Many of us do not want the sleep score. I have asked for and continue to want a solution to turn it off and return to avg hr of sleep. Is anyone at Fitbit paying attention to our replies ? Mine is not worn at night any longer. I will be looking at alternatives.

While I admire your courage, Sylvia Fitbit, your answer is utterly rejected for the following reasons:
1) If I have the Fitbit online dashboard, the phone app conflicts and neither one operates appropriately. I purposely stopped using the online dashboard because of this issue. Your software is not sophisticated enough to support my access in two locations.
2) The fact that the software isn't flexible enough to allow the user options is a shortcoming and mistake that falls squarely on marketing, failure to survey, and the substandard programming/coding of the software.
3) Further, so many people have complained that a decent company would fix the problem instead of insisting customers adapt to some random unnecessary off-the-rails change. Even Coca-Cola reversed itself when the New Coca-Cola was rejected by so many.
4) Shame on Fitbit. My next purchase will be a different brand -- hopefully a company more responsive to the feedback it receives.
Lynn

NOT the best answer by a long shot. The worst answer.
