Is there a clip setting on altar hr

Hey guys, I have an altar hr which I have only just started using. I have brought a clip for it as I can not wear any watches at work. Is there a setting to change it from strap to clip?
Thank you

Hi @xmelkelx  the Alta HR can't be used accurately with a clip, so there is no setting as there is on the Inspire 2.

Oh ok, Thank you so much for replying. I will have to look into updating to a newer one I think 😊

@xmelkelx  some people have used an extender and worn the Alta or Inspire series on their ankles, too. The Inspire 2 does have the setting and an optional clip.

@xmelkelx   It's true that the Inspire 2 has the On Wrist/On Clip setting.  Certain features are turned off when you put in On Clip.  Your Alta HR can't track your heart rate in your third party clip.  The way I see it, there is no difference between the two devices this way.  I don't see a strong reason to upgrade to a new device.  The ankle strap is a good idea, too.  I've done this with other models.  The heart rate seems to work well if you put the heart rate sensor an inch or two above your inside ankle bone.

I hope this helps you get the most from your Fitbit.
