I've had my Alta for about 3 years. I notice that it is touchy about connecting to charge. It does not always connect to the charger to start charging, yet it is connected correctly. Charge can last as little as 3 days to 7 or 8 days. I am beginning to think I need to look into a new device? How long is the Alta supposed to last? I don't take it swimming (although I wish I could!), or get it wet other than maybe getting a little splash when I wash my hands. After 3 years is it time for a new device?

Sounds like its time for a new device.
I think it depends on many things. How well ts cared for, charging etc.
I have had mine since 3/2017 and it still going strong

I have really tried to take good care of it. Kept it as dry as possible, charge it every week, carefully blow dust out of the contacts so it can charge better, done a reset a few times when I've had issues. Maybe it is time. *sigh*

Have you tried cleaning the contacts with isopropyl alcohol?

Thanks. I wasn't sure what I could use. I will.
