Multiple Calendar reminders

I am having huge amounts of reminders about a weekly calendar event.  Is there anything I can do to stop these? I have already turned off the notifications from my phone. I have an Alta HR. This is draining my battery terribly and annoying the hell out of me.

Hello again @SunsetRunner

I do know that currently there is a know issue with individuals getting notifications and Fitbit is aware of them and hopefully will have all this notification problems resolved in a future update soon I hope. In the meantime I guess you could disable the Fitbit to not give you the calendar notifications for now until the issue is addressed by Fitbit. You can do this by going here:

open your Fitbit App

tap profile on upper left

scroll down and tap Alta HR

now scroll down and tap notifications

disable calendar events

now sync to enable changes

😃 please let me know if this is an answer to your issue for now

Hello @SunsetRunner

I see your having multiple reminders about a weekly calendar event. It might be how it is set up on your calendar itself. I would check the event in question and see how it is set up to remind you. I say this because you didn’t mention this happening with your other event but just this one “weekly calendar event” in particular. Just a thought.

😃 please let me know if this does indeed answer your question.

Hi

Thanks for the response. However, the calendar entry is a reoccurring bi-weekly with just one alert. The calendar entry was added a couple of years ago and has only just started sending me multiple alerts on my Fitbit. This is happening on my husbands Charge 3 too. My daughter has a Charge 2 and it happens to her too with different calendar invites. This only happens with all day entries.

Hello again @SunsetRunner

I just wanted to check back in with you to see if my suggestion/instructions to disable the calendar events did indeed stop the repeating events coming through? If it did indeed resolve your issue could you please tap “best answer” under the instructions/suggestions that you felt helped you the most? It really helps other individuals coming to the Fitbit Community seeking answers to issues similar to what you were experiencing. I’d appreciate it. Thanks😃

Hi! Just chiming in to see if this has been resolved yet. I see that your solution was to turn of calendar reminders but I would still like to receive calendar reminds, just not a million times per day.
My app and phone are all up to date so please help! I’m ready to chuck this thing out the window some days!

Hi

No this did not get resolved I’m afraid. The only thing I can suggest is that you change your all-day calendar entries to timed as this seemed to do the trick. Maybe with Google buying Fitbit they put some money into resolving these problems and sorting out their appalling customer service.

Hi, I’m not sure if this will help but I disabled notifications and removed erroneous silent alarms (which I’d never set or received). When I synced, my calendar events were enabled again and I had different silent alarms. I think this might be a caching issue so maybe if we disable, clear out silent alarms, sync and repeat until it’s truly cleared then re-enable/setup the alarms (if desired), that might help?

I have the same issue on my Charge 2.  I had to turn off the calendar notifications.  Until I synced my fitbit, I continued to get notifications.  Very annoying so I hope they fix it sooner than later.

Thanks

so, its May 2021 and I still get multiple notifications on my Ionic about the same event, nice to see bugs are squashed in a timely manner.

Well, if their acquisition of Nest (I think they've forgotten about their thermostats) is anything to go by I'd say you'd be extremely lucky!

@Fitbit this is still an issue. Any plans to fix this anytime soon? It’s very frustrating and makes the calendar notifications near unusable.  I’ve received FIFTEEN notifications today alone for tax day being tomorrow......
