I have had my fitbit for a long time, last week it stopped displaying anything except the website shown in subject. It's not letting me see time, heart rate, texts or anything else...
What do I do??

That message suggests that the fitbit has become disconnected from your account and that you need to go through the setup process again to reconnect it.
From the main dashboard page of the app, select your profile image at the top left and then select "set up a device".

It still shows my device so looks like I don't need to re-install?
This is driving me crazy, it just doesn't do anything but display www.fitbit.com/setup.
I am at a complete loss and too frustrated to even say....

If it's not working then it's worth trying to reconnect

does not sound like you did a re-install as stated above. Please do so

@jdeannk Did you ever get to reconnect your Fitbit to your account? I'm having the same problem today. When I login to my account, it shows my Fitbit Alta as still linked to my account so I don't understand how I can register the device when it's already registered. Thank you.

I contacted Fitbit support through the chat function. Here is the transcript which includes instructions on resetting the connection between the Fitbit and app. Please note that I followed them twice and still have not succeeded, unfortunately. Perhaps these instructions will help someone else though.
Paul (12/26/2020, 3:53:06 PM): Thanks for the summary. I'm reviewing your issue now and will be right back.
Me (12/26/2020, 3:53:14 PM): Thanks
Paul (12/26/2020, 3:53:28 PM): Thanks for contacting the Fitbit team. I will be more than glad and happy to assist you with your Fitbit Alta HR displaying setup screen.
Paul (12/26/2020, 3:53:33 PM): To setup your device you can try these steps:
Paul (12/26/2020, 3:53:56 PM): Turn off other Bluetooth networks nearby, like other smartphones, computers or tablets Bluetooth.
Paul (12/26/2020, 3:54:04 PM): Then please turn on your Bluetooth without connecting any device.
Paul (12/26/2020, 3:54:12 PM): Plug in your Fitbit to the charging cable and power source.
Me (12/26/2020, 3:54:20 PM): The bluetooth on the Fitbit?
Paul (12/26/2020, 3:54:21 PM): And finally: On the phone app store please update the Fitbit app or reinstall the app and then restart your phone > Go to Bluetooth in phone settings> In Bluetooth erase or forget the Fitbit or other devices connected > Then turn off and back on the Bluetooth without connecting any device > Then go to Fitbit app > profile picture circle icon top left > set up a new device > select Alta or Alta HR, if asked to replace or set up as new tap yes. Also, make sure the device is charging while trying this and that your phone's battery is high.
Paul (12/26/2020, 3:54:39 PM): You can't turn it off. Please keep it.
Me (12/26/2020, 3:55:14 PM): Thank you. I'll save this chat so I can follow your directions.
