My phone cant seem to locate my Alta HR to sync the data. All the syncing options are on, but no data??? Any thoughts??

Why has this recently become an issue? Also when I first checked my Fitbit it comes up with a ridiculous amount of steps first thing in the morning and also when I am walking and looking at the app. The not syncing is very annoying. Would appreciate any suggestions
