Set Up Fitbit

My MIL gave me her old Fitbit, and I can't get it set up. Based on the pictures, I think it is an Ulta (silver sides, heartbeat tracker isn't on main page.) It's fully charged, and connected to the charger device and plugged in, but when I use the ap to try to connect it, it just keeps saying it's searching. Any advice?

That step often takes several attempts to find it.  Sometimes it helps to make sure thee are no other bluetooth devices nearby.

Another possibility is that it is an Alta HR.  If I recall correctly, they are very similar appearance, or perhaps the same.  Not showing heart rate on main page screen isn't necessarily diagnostic as there are several screen display options.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
