Unable to sync Alta HR

Trying to sinc my Alta HR using my computer.  Help topics are not helpful.  I don't even see a sinc option on my dashboard.

First, I appreciate your effort and patience for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your computer that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.

 

Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

I have trying to sync my Alta HR for the past hour with great frustration and I found your great instructions. Thank you so much! 

Maybe you could answer this question - I've noticed when I am shopping using a basket with my hands are on the handle my Alta PR is not recording my steps. Do I have to make sure I keep swinging my arms? If yes, does the Fitbit record setps if it is in my pockets? Thank you for your assistance.
