Working when pushing a pram?

Hi, really new to this. I walk while pushing my kids in the pram and noticing my steps not being counted, am I right guessing that I need to swing my arm to get a step? I obviously can’t do that when I am pushing a pram.

You are right. Fitbits on wrist detect steps from normal swinging of arm.  When wrist is held steady, as pushing pram or holding hand rail on treadmill, steps might not be detected.  But you can usually get a better step count by putting it in a pocket during this.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Not sure what type you have, but I almost always wear my AltaHR or Flex2 on my ankle when walking (for exercise or in grocery store, etc.). Step count is FAR more accurate. Both of these models are thin bands (have both in black), don’t have a watch face. If you don’t mind how it looks, I highly recommend!

Good luck!
