Update: You should be able to sync manually and we are continuing to work to get syncing back to normal. Thanks again for your patience.
Update: Setup and pairing issues should be resolved, however, some may still have issues syncing. Our team is working hard to get this resolved as soon as possible.
Hi Everyone!
I've merged several posts together. We are aware of an issue with seeing your account data, signing up and syncing in the Fitbit app. Some may see error 503. This is affecting both Android and iOS. Our team is working to resolve this as quickly as possible, and your activity is still being counted. Thanks for your reports and patience.

Just purchased a versa 2 today at 11am and have not been able to get it synced to my iPhone XS Max all day.. instead of me trying to be cheap, I should have just invested in an Apple Watch from the beginning... I’ve never heard of Apple Watch have issues connecting to iPhones ever, even if a server is down.. suggestion: since Fitbit has a lot of clients already, why not invest in a backup server? Either way I’m on my way to return this just and purchase a real quality product!
Mine is having the same issue. I've done everything. I've restarted the watch. I've synced to the app. I've turned off the auto timezone, switched timezones, and switched back to the correct one. NOTHING worked.
So, I tried removing the Versa2 from my devices in the app with the intention of adding it back. Now, it won't even add back to the app. Now the thing is totally useless. It "discovers" it via bluetooth, but then when I reach the screen to enter 4 digits it does not enter, siting Error 503 and serves up 4 new digits to try... NONE of them work. I've tried turning bluetooth on and off. I've updated the app. I've removed the app and re-downloaded it. I've restarted the watch. I've said a flipping prayer over this paper weight.
Still says It's November 29th at 5:49PM PST.... when it's December 3rd at 3:13 PM PST.
Best AnswerHi all,
I bought my Charge 3 literally 3 days ago and this morning when I woke up it kept on failing to synch.
I have followed the solution in this topic (never mind that the steps seem ridiculous) but nothing seems to get it to synch. Could this device truly be broken after only 3 days of use!?! Maybe I should have got the Apple Watch afterall. So far, disappointed.
edit:
I have not tried synching the device to another phone/tablet/computer because I do not have another phone/tablet or a dongle for computer. Don't see how this should matter, my iPhone is not broken and works flawlessly for everything else.
I hear ya, how frustrating! I think it's very weird that even though my app says it is not syncing it is still syncing with the wristband but not with other apps. As I walk around the house I can see the steps being counted on both the wristband and the app. Weird one for sure!
Best Answerwalking round the house can't be included as real steps btw 🙂
Yes its very frustrating and the red line saying failure to sync is now really annoying me . I must have changed passwords 100 times today
I thinking getting the syncing working is the next thing they're working on so I'm going to wait not so patiently
Best AnswerEveryone is having issues right now. I had a notification on here that said they're aware of this issue. I kept trying and mine eventually worked.
