Why do my active minutes change when I log a workout? I take a Barre class once a week that does not get automatically added as a workout. I get 30 to 40 active minutes for a 60 minute class. When I add the workout it erases all my active minutes. The same goes for my weight lifting class and yoga class. What is the deal with this?

Hi, @Briefyleigh! When you create an activity from your app after the fact, it overwrites your calories, active minutes, etc (others depend on the actual activity) with an estimate that the app makes based on the activity. Some activities are estimated at a low enough effort that even if you yourself earned active minutes, they won't assign you active minutes. So, I guess what you should do depends on what you're looking to get out of it. If you'd like a record of when you exercised, you should use the app to add an activity. If you'd like a picture of the active minutes and calories burned as they actually happened, you should just leave it untracked. Most of the other trackers (pretty much all of the ones with a button) allow you to track an activity manually from your tracker, which would pick up on both the fact that you had an activity and how you actually performed.
